After a tricky start in Airdrie it was Swaby who opened the scoring after 20 minutes with her first Rangers goal.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game, she said: “Towards the end of the game I think we were able to come together as one instead of trying to play so structured.
“At the end of the day we were here to win and here to score as many goals as we could and pretty or not that's just how we wanted to come out and finish.
“I think it was a little rocky in the beginning, we were just trying to get our first goal so we could get the momentum but I think overall we came together and we played well.
“It just took us a while to get our first goal so I think coming together and continuing to try was what helped us. We had so many chances early on so we knew as long as we kept that going and kept building on that it would help us get that first goal.
“It was kind of a blur to be honest but Lizzie got the ball to cross it and I just noticed space in the back area so I just hung out and as soon as it got flicked on I just hit it in.”
It was Rangers’ ninth clean sheet in 13 matches this season and Swaby feels it is important for the squad’s confidence going forward.
She added: “I’m really pleased with another shutout, we just need to keep that in the back of our heads that we have been doing really well defensively.
“Sometimes it doesn't seem that we are scoring as many goals as we should but it is still great that we are not conceding any either.
“I think that going into the City game we want to make sure we put this game behind us and build on everything we did well so we can go into that one with a great mindset.”
