The young midfielder was on the scoresheet for the second game in a row, doubling the Gers’ advantage with an impressive strike as David McCallum’s side scored three times inside the final ten minutes.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game, Lindsay reflected on a positive display: “I thought we played really well in the first half. In the second half we had a bit of a slow start, it took us a while to get our rhythm but, once we did, we created chances. Getting three goals is good and also keeping a clean sheet.
“What we were saying at half-time was that the final ball was missing – everything up to that was perfect. It’s just about hitting the right areas with the crosses. I felt we done that better in the second half which shows because we got our three goals from it.
“No matter what minute it is in the game, we still feel like we can score goals – whether it’s first or second half or late on in the game. We always have that confidence within ourselves that we’ll create chances and get goals.”
Lindsay capped off a well-worked team goal to extend his side’s advantage in the dying embers of the game, while the midfield was also bolstered once again by the presence of Alex Lowry in his return from injury.
He continued: “I seen there was a chance for Robbie to set me up first time so I’ve made a run. I’ve picked it up and dribbled with it and seen the goalkeeper off his line so I’ve floated it around him and it has went in. I’m happy with it.
“Alex gives us something different. He’s done well in the last two games he’s played and he’s getting back to fitness which is good to see. It was nice to play alongside him again.”
The 18-year-old is now looking ahead to the challenge of the UEFA Youth League in midweek, where Rangers will be looking to produce a positive performance and result against Napoli in Italy.
Lindsay added: “We’re looking forward to it. Some results haven’t went our way, but we’ve felt like certain moments in games could have changed that. We’ve looked at what we’ve done, what we’ve done well, and where we can improve, and we’ll try to implement it in the next game.”
