The young Ger outlined that the squad are confident heading into this round following their success in the previous tie against Hammarby last month.
Lindsay spoke exclusively to RangersTV ahead of the youngsters’ first leg against Ivan Nedelchev Geshev’s side at the Slavia Stadium.
He said: “The home and away leg against Hammarby was tough and in both games, we found ourselves in different scenarios. I thought that the boys dealt with it well and to play in a big tournament like this against ‘best v best’ is what we are wanting. We’ve really enjoyed it and we’re looking forward to the next round.
“A Not much changes between each game, we go into everyone with the same mindset and beliefs, we just need to go out and be ourselves to dominate the game.
“We haven’t been doing too much different, we train the same way for every game. We can look at how we can hurt the opposition and look at the small details that you need for European games that can make the difference.
“Obviously when you go away anywhere it’s difficult because you may not have as many fans, you’re not used to the pitch, things like that come into factor but, as I said before we just go into every match wanting to win. No matter if it’s home or away, we’ll be playing with the same style of play and mindset.”
Lindsay continued by emphasising the benefit playing in the tournament has had on the squad’s development, at both an individual and collective level.
He added: “Individually, it has been brilliant. I’m one of the younger players in the squad, I’m getting access to older and more experienced players. It’s great for me but also everybody else in the squad, because as I said you want to be playing against the best teams across Europe and this tournament gives us the chance to do that.
“It’s been really good for us. We’ve had loads of football in terms of games and we’ve just as much coming up. It’s really important that we use the squad well, which we have been doing. We’ve got a great team this year, we’ve been playing well together and we’re in a good place. We just need to keep it up and push each other on. As I said, the number of games that we’ve been having has been brilliant and we’re just looking forward to the amount that’s coming our way.
“We’re putting in top performances so we know that whether it is home or away we can go and play our style of football and still get a good result. The boys and I are confident no matter who we play, we always go into every match wanting to win and believe that we can.”
