The Light Blues will face-off against their rivals for the final time this season knowing how they stand in the title race come kick off at New Douglas Park later today.
As things stand, the Gers sit five points adrift in the title race with three fixtures remaining and will have to rely on results going in their favour if they are to lift the trophy this campaign, but the midfielder says their attention is only on what they do on the pitch.
She commented: “Our main thing is just complete focus on us.
“Our main focus is just us and it always has been and always will remain that way.
“There is important games to come but we take each game as it comes.
“Obviously we can only control what we can and that is exactly what we are looking to do.
“We can't control what is going on around us but as long as we control what we can then what is meant to be will be and we can only hope we come away with as many points as we can.
“We know how big Old Firm fixtures are for this club, we want to go in and get the three points that we know we can.”
The Light Blues hold an impressive record away to their rivals having come out on top in both the second league fixture and Sky Sports Cup semi-final, with the Scotland international hoping the side can use that to their advantage.
She continued: “That has been massive obviously away from home we know that they have got the advantage of the fans behind them but our fans never fail to turn up as well.
“Having them on side is massive and hopefully as many as possible turn up for the last Old Firm fixture.
“We have got a good track record there and hopefully we can go and do the business.
“It has got all the outside noise and that coming along with it but for us out focus is on how we have trained this week and preparing as well as we can, we are hoping to come away with the three points.”
Cornet enjoyed a fantastic individual moment the last time the two teams met in Hamilton in league action, scoring a goal of the season winner on her return from injury as she reflected on the memorable day.
She added: “The game as a whole was unbelievable from the girls.
“They performed superb throughout and I was so grateful to get the opportunity to step on the pitch after it being a long time coming with my knee injury.
“To get that final winner is a feeling I will truly never forget especially with it being against them.
“It made it that extra bit special but the main thing for me was getting the three points for the team at that stage and it just extra special that I managed to get goal of the season. It is not very often that I score so that was an extra special moment.
“It couldn't have got much better, as you come back from injury all you want to do is perform well, but to be able to score the winner and receive goal of the season for that moment was a real proud moment for me and my family.
“Credit to all the members of staff and players for helping me along to get back to full fitness and be at a performance level where I was able to produce such a goal.”
