It’s the first away match in the league for the manager and he hopes the squad can build on Sunday’s late victory over Hearts at Ibrox.
Speaking to the media at this afternoon’s pre-match press conference, he said: “This week, next week and next month, they are all big games and there are no easy games, so I want an ambitious squad.
“I want people who are ambitious every day, not only in the games but in training. I feel like the players are all motivated and also the staff to work really hard to become better and they have also shown good physical things during these three games so far.”
Rangers are set to be without Nico Raskin, who was stretchered off during Sunday’s match, and John Souttar who has picked up a muscle injury.
When asked about the injury to Raskin, Clement commented: “He is not fit enough to be in the squad for tomorrow so that is a downfall because he was doing good things, and he was taking steps. It is a pity, but we need to find other solutions now. I hope it is short term, but it is not guaranteed, we will see in the next couple of days how these things evolve.
“It is the biggest puzzle that I have ever seen to be honest with all the injuries. John Souttar will also not be available for the game with a muscle problem, not a big one but he is not available for the game.
“It will be very important every game to look at the minutes of every player and try to build their physical condition and their robustness in the next couple of weeks and months to have a bigger squad available. This work is never short term, this is a long-term project. Creating players ready for 90 minutes every three days is not something you can create by two weeks training, nobody can do that.
“The same with robustness, building up muscles and making them stronger in general is longer term but everybody in the club knows it is a really important for the future of Rangers.
“I am not a coach who is going to turn around in a problem, it is my job to find solutions. I am focused on that and sometimes the solutions can be better than you thought. Sometimes you find a solution with a player that you didn't expect, and he blossoms because he gets a chance so I am focused totally on the fit players, and the players who need to do the job against Dundee.
When asked about his first away league match, Clement added: “For me there is no difference between home and away games. Ok we have the advantage of having 50,000 really good fans in our home stadium, but I don't want to use that as an excuse in away games.
“It’s not only mentality we have to build on, there are a lot of things. It is technically and tactically also to build, and it is a pity you lose players along the way because then you need to restart again with others who step in.”
