The midfielder, who celebrates his 22nd birthday today, has been a regular fixture in the side under Philippe Clement this season and has gone from strength to strength in a Rangers jersey since arriving in Glasgow over the summer.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on his first few months at the club, the birthday boy commented: “I’ve been loving it so far and it’s been easy since day one.
“All the boys have gotten me into the group quickly and the staff have been welcoming, from the cleaners, receptionists, canteen staff, all the way through to the coaching staff.
“It’s been made easy by everyone and I’m loving my time so far.
“The manager has been brilliant with me, as have all the staff. They just want to make everyone better out on the training pitch.
“It’s the same with the analysis team as well; it’s a real collective. They have been great with me and long may that continue.
The Gers hit Ross County for six on Saturday in their previous Scottish Premiership outing, which was the first time they’ve scored six in a league match since October 2021.
Coupled with the side’s progress in the Premier Sports Cup, as well as the impact of several new signings, Barron believes the team are slowly beginning to find their groove.
He continued: “I feel as if we’re getting better and better as the weeks go on. We’re definitely nowhere near where we want to be and not the finished article, but I think we’re seeing signs of that coming.
“There are also bits where we need to get better at, which we know because we all analyse the games, but that’s football.
“There are a lot of new faces in the squad, but I think everyone has picked up [the manager’s ideas] very quickly.
“We had a good pre-season under our belt, which feels a long time ago, and we’re into the games coming thick and fast.
“It’s just about rest and recovery, taking everything on board, and bringing it into games.
“It’s a tight-knit group and everyone has taken to each other very well. It’s about us learning on the job quickly and I feel we’re doing that.”
Sunday will mark a first Old Firm experience for Barron as Clement’s side make the trip across the city to Parkhead.
And the midfielder says he’s relishing the occasion and believes his side must stand up and be counted on the pitch to prevail with a positive result.
He added: “I’m really excited. There is always a lot of talk around the games, but it’s also important as a player to realise what the team can do, and you can go out with the focus and drive that if you do your job, you can come away with the victory.
“If we all stick to the game plan and we all know what we can do. Defensively, we need to get at them, and when we’re on the ball then we need to be composed.
“We saw last weekend when we take our chances, and that was something we talked about in the first few games of the season because we could have been winning by more. Hopefully we can bring that on Sunday and get the win.”
