It will be a first taste of Europa League football for the 22-year-old midfielder after sampling the UEFA Europa Conference League with Aberdeen last season.
Malmo are the opponents in Sweden for Philippe Clement’s side as they look to create further memories in a competition that has proven fruitful for the club in recent years.
Speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow’s clash at the Eleda Stadion, the Scottish midfielder said: “It’s just the start. It’s about us as a team as well and we’re growing and building each week.
“We’re nowhere near the finished article yet, but we just need to keep building in the same direction and keep pushing.
“Tomorrow is another opportunity for that on the European stage.
“I’ve loved it since I came in. The gaffer and the boys have been brilliant with me.
“I’ve been comfortable playing in that position. I’ll keep learning, but I’ve enjoyed it so far.
“There is a lot more to come from me and I’m taking everything in that I’m being told; watching games back and making sure I’m making myself better at the same time as the team.”
Malmo are the first opponents in a revamped eight-game league phase schedule for the Light Blues.
There are tests against Premier League giants in Tottenham and Manchester United to come later this campaign, but Barron insists the side’s focus is on the task in Sweden.
He added: “I’m wanting to take each game as it comes and I don’t want to look too far ahead.
“I want to play my football, enjoy it, and make sure I’m learning on the job. That’s how I’ll continue.
“We don’t want to think too far ahead and just take each game as it comes. Tomorrow is the start and we’ll go out there fresh and hopefully start with a win.
“The mentality is to progress to the knockout stage. It’s Rangers Football Club and we want to win every game that we play; that doesn’t change whatever competition we’re in.”
