The midfielder was speaking to the media ahead of tomrrow’s match, while he also reflected on his first season at the club.
On the game against Hibernian, he said: “It is very important, when the split happened, we obviously set ourselves a target and we haven’t quite reached that. We wanted to win them all, but we have got a big one on Saturday to go and we need to get the three points again.
“In the past few games, we have shown what we can do, there were some nice passages of play again on Wednesday night and it is good to see. It is just unfortunate that it is happening now, and it hasn’t clicked at the start of the season, but we have a big one against Hibs and that is all the focus is on now.
On his first season at the club, Barron reflected: “From a personal point of view I have been happy with my first season, and to have played as many games as I have. Looking forward, I want to go and do better next season. I am hungry for more and I will go away after the Hibs game and work on my game to get better again.
“Obviously it is disappointing to not be as successful as I would've liked to have been in my first season, but you learn a lot and you carry that with you. That is what I've done and as a player at my age it is good to take everything in.”
Barron says he will concentrate on what he can do over the summer, with ongoing speculation around the manager position at Ibrox.
He continued: “We are a bit in the unknown right now, but as a player you go away and you work hard on your game, you keep yourself fit and you come back flying in pre-season and wait and see what happens.
“Barry has been great, and Neil and Doddsy, they have all been brilliant and I have been like a sponge taking everything in and learning as much as possible. As I say, we don’t know what is going to happen, we just have to wait and see.
“There have been individual sessions after training, and they have been giving me little bits here and there. As I say, I have just been a sponge taking it all in and it has been great working with them.”
