The Light Blues claimed victory in Danny Röhl’s first league match in charge at the weekend, with the team’s focus quickly shifting to a trip to the capital to take on Hibs tomorrow evening.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference, the defender hopes it’s just the beginning for this group of players under their new head coach.
He said: “Last few days? It has been good; it has been a more positive dynamic within the group which is always more enjoyable to be in.
“I think the group also knows that it is just the start and we need to keep going in this way.
“It hasn't been that much time really to implement his football practical ideas.
“We have had a lot of matches; we haven't had so much time on the pitch to train together.
“The biggest change would have been the mentality. We are aggressive, we bring intensity each match and each dual. We run for each other and help each other.
“At the end of the day when you play for Rangers the most important thing is to win.”
In a week of crucial matches starting with tomorrow’s Premiership outing before an Old Firm semi-final to follow, the Canadian internationals says the Gers must focus on what is in front of them and strive for consistency in their form.
He continued: “One game at a time, we are going to have to show up against Hibs.
“We are going to be in a tough match, I don't know how many games it has been since they last lost at their home so we know that they are a tough opponent and we really need to be focused and ready for that match.
“Going on a consistent run? Yes for sure that is the goal. Everyone knows that until now we haven't been good enough and the only way that we can change that is by going on a run of games.
“We know we can't focus on too many games at one time, right now it is going to be Hibs coming up and we just need to be prepared for that.”
The 27-year-old opened his account for the club in front of the home faithful in Sunday’s win as he spoke on learning a new way of playing under German Röhl and his hopes to achieve success in blue.
He added: “From playing at Ibrox I see that the fans want to get into the game, they are almost in it with us. I think that can be a real advantage.
“Teams when they experience a crowd like Ibrox it can be an intimidating place to come and play.
“I also get the sense that they want high intensity, upbeat and attacking football.
“I think that suits the new manager well because I think that is in his idea of playing football as well. Ultimately if it is going to help us get more wins I am all for it.
“I have been told many times by many times different people that when Rangers is winning it is the best club to play at in the world.
“I want to experience that; I want to see Rangers when we are winning and when the fans are behind fans when things are going well.
“It is definitely a big motivation for me to get this ship going in the right direction and to experience that.
“I get the feeling from around the club that is an experience that not many footballers can say that they have had in their careers.”
