LEANNE Crichton has praised the collective effort from her Rangers side in this afternoon’s 3-0 victory away to Hearts.
The Gers were at their rampant best in front of goal through a Laura Berry brace and a fantastic Bailley Collins strike, while they were also rewarded with a clean sheet for their defensive endeavour.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, the head coach commented: "Every player played their part across the pitch and were excellent.
“We knew it would be a tough afternoon as Hearts are a really good side.
“They’re the current champions, and we didn’t travel the best last year in these games.
“We had emphasised the importance of coming here to gauge where we’re at this season and what type of performances we can produce coming away from home.
“We had a ruthlessness to us at the top end of the pitch as you saw in the goals.”
The victory made it three successive wins to open the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League for the side.
They have scored 14 goals across the first three games and have certainly built on their strong showings in UEFA Champions League qualifying.
She added: “We scored different types of goals, different goalscorers, and we probably could have added to it.
“I loved the professionalism. Once we got our noses in front, it’s not always easy, and sometimes you can become a little complacent.
“Credit to Hearts as they tried to push and probe; Shu [Obha] makes a big save that would have gotten them back into the game.”
