The young Gers have been handed a 400-mile round-trip to face the Highland League side on Friday evening as they look to seal their place in the quarter-finals.
The Light Blues were victorious over non-league opposition in the previous round and Curtis believes his side must embrace the expectations once again.
Speaking to the official Rangers website, the 17-year-old midfielder commented: “Playing different teams from various leagues is what the tournament is about, and hopefully we’re able to reach the quarter-finals on Friday.
“You saw last year we didn’t concede a single goal before the final, and we managed to score five goals at Hampden but it wasn’t enough, so hopefully it’s more of the same this year and we’re able to go one better.
“The boys are always motivated in the cup competitions; it’s a big stage and a place at Hampden is up for grabs again this season. We’re all looking forward to getting back to cup action.”
Curtis has spent the majority of the campaign with the Under-18s group, although he has seized his opportunities at B Team level when they have arrived which included a crucial late strike against Alloa Athletic in the SPFL Trust Trophy in September.
The teenager is one of the elder members of a young Under-18s squad made up predominantly of 2007-born players this term, and he is keen to use his experience of the competition having scored three times in the side’s run to the final last season.
He continued: “I missed the last round against St. Andrews United, but I’m looking forward to playing against Fraserburgh and hopefully we go and get the win.
“I’m enjoying the season a lot and it’s just about getting my individual numbers up. I want to keep on working hard and hopefully my chances with the B Team will arrive.
“I came on and did well in the Alloa game. I just need to continue working hard in training and hopefully I’m able to take my chances when they come.”
