The Light Blues host Dundee tomorrow evening at Ibrox in their final home fixture as they look for a positive run of results leading up to the Scottish Cup final on May 25.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference before the penultimate game in the Scottish Premiership, the striker said: “We just have to focus on what we can control, that is being professional in these next weeks.
“Preparing as good as possible for these next two games starting tomorrow and if we do that then we will be well prepared for the cup final as well.
“Then we just have to do our job and hopefully we can give something back to this club, to the fans, to the people inside and outside the building and win this cup final.”
The frontman knows the importance of the showpiece match at Hampden Stadium in the final game of the season and he says the team have to switch their focus to being ready as they Gers look to claim a second piece of silverware to end the season.
He added: “We know we have to switch a button to go again tomorrow. Because we cannot just let it go right now, also with eyes focused on the cup final as well.
“We have to perform this week and give two really good performances to be ready and show that we are ready for this cup final, so we try to switch our minds to that.
“We need to find some new energy after a difficult weekend, but I think we have got it in us and we have everything to play for in the cup final.
“We know what we can do in the cup final against this team.
“I am sure this team has the experience, been in difficult moments before, been in big games before, been in finals before. We have to take that experience and switch it.
“I think that to show that you are a real champion or a really big player you have to see how you react to losing and switch the button and go again hard for the cup final.”
