Daïna: Being A Ger Is Improving Me Daily

DAINA BOURMA believes being a Rangers player is helping her to improve every day as she prepares for the start of the SWPL season.

The 20-year-old, who joined the club just over a year ago, says the standard of training and coaching is helping her develop.

Speaking to RangersTV she said: “I definitely feel I am growing here. When I joined Rangers I played left-back, now I can play left wing and maybe right.

“I am really happy to have both of them.

“By now living in Glasgow is habit, it’s not any different anymore, just the weather, but if I have football I have everything.”

Although the lockdown period was tough, Daina feels it has allowed the squad to become closer ahead of the new season.

She continued: “Everyone is closer since lockdown and even the new players, there's no new players and old players, everyone is at the same level so it is good. Everyone is fitting well together.

“It has been great being back at training. Everybody is happy to be back together, we had a running programme which helped us a lot but it is great to be back.

“To be honest, I think everybody is fitter because of the programme we had and we are closer because we had a hard time so I think it has helped us a lot so I am happy.”

Daina can’t wait to get the season underway on Sunday as Rangers host Hearts at the training ground.
