The Gers now know their fate towards the end of the season with the final Scottish Premiership matches announced earlier this week.
A trip to Falkirk away for the Light Blues before a two-week break before their first split outing, and the German says they are well-equipped to deliver what would be a fourth league win in a row. He said: “I think in general, at first, big respect to Falkirk, they are playing a good season.
“Good development and the manager did a good job with them, not just the promotions, even now to get into the top six of the table, I think this is a great achievement so far.
“They are still in the cup; this is nice for them as well. We will face an opponent that has nothing to lose now, I think they can just win, and it is for some teams nice and in some moments, you can also gamble.
“You can go more offensive, you have nothing to lose, we have to prepare, but we are prepared, we are ready for this game.
“We are really focused, and I think this is key, focused on the content and our work on the pitch.
“At the moment we are not too far, we look to the next game, good training sessions, what we have had so far.
“We have to manage some players at the minute. We spoke about Ryan, but we also have some other players who have some small issues at the minute, but these are normal things at the end of the season.
“It is still a long season with a lot of games, but all in all I am happy with the group, and we have to believe we have the quality, mindset and mentality to win this title.”
“It is a new situation for us that in four weeks we will have the same opponent two times away.
“Nobody knows in four or five weeks the situation on the final matchday.
“Then, after Falkirk, we know what the position for the split is, and hopefully we have maybe a better position than now.”
The boss spoke on the final league outings of the season and how things could lie towards the end of the campaign, but insists the team’s sole focus is on themselves and continuing a run of consistency towards the end.
He continued: “In general, it is a really exciting schedule. You can make your own opinion with what you mean, but for me and us, it was clear which teams we would face; it was just about when.
“We have to take it game by game. That makes it important that we look not to other things. For me, it is important that we focus on what we can influence in this in our performance in every game.
I think the last matchday is interesting to see. I said many times that the last matchday, and with these fixtures, it is really possible that all three teams play in the last final matchday for the title.
“In the past, it was also over after the second or third matchday in the split.
“That could be a great opportunity for us to take our wins and start with three wins in the split.
“It would not look too bad for us, but it makes no sense to look too much ahead.
“Let's beat Falkirk, which is a tough one away, then we have a tough home game against Motherwell, then we have two tough away games.
“You see in football how developments go. Maybe it was the deepest deep point, but it happens in football.
“Now we work so hard, and it is just that we continue this run that we have had so far. I was surprised? I'm not sure it was really true, but I looked back after the Hearts game, we were 15 points behind them; it looks massive, and now 16 games later, it is one point.
“The key message is if at the end it is one, two or three points and you don't win the title, then you will still be disappointed because we are now so close and this is a big part.
“We can achieve something, and for this we have to deliver.”
Following Sunday’s outing, the Gers will head to Spain for a warm-weather training camp before their next league outing on April 26. Röhl believes it will be a great way of bringing the squad closer together as they look to achieve success come the end of the season.
He added: “We will go [to Spain] next week, from Monday to Friday. I am totally convinced that this is a great environment to get three or four days.
“I had a great experience with Bayern Munich when we won the Champions League.
“We had a small camp not in Spain but in Portugal that gave a good spirit with really nothing else around.
“I have time with the board to speak about other topics we go there together and I am really looking forward to it.
“The most important thing is that we get the result on Sunday, then we will have a good week, then we come back, and we are ready for five finals.”
