The B team boss spoke to rangers.co.uk following the game and outlined his thoughts on the overall game performance.
He said: “I thought the first half was a good performance, the players managed the game where we thought it was going to go. I thought we had to defend a bit of direct play into our box, and we did that well.
“For the most part, I thought we controlled the first half, created lots of chances and scored a really good goal. Thereafter, I thought we continued to create some good opportunities but never managed to put the game to bed.
“In the second half, I thought the changing moment was the red card, which, in a crazy way, we lost concentration. We continued to create opportunities but weren’t able to finish them in the final third.
“I think the main bit from today is that this has happened in a previous game before, we have to manage these games better when you are a goal up and have an extra man. Ultimately, I think that there was a feeling of fine, but you then start to see players from East Kilbride team running into areas of the pitch that aren’t being matched.
“It then comes down to concentration, we have to maintain our concentration levels for the duration of the game, I think that was our undoing today. It’s almost a ‘grow up’ type moment where we need to recgonise that the game is still alive, and we can’t decide when and when not to concentrate.
“They then counter attack and punish us, it was down to concentration today and not poor play for us. I thought we had some great moments. East Kilbride showed that streetwise element which they went on to punish and that’s the biggest disappointment.”
