Demi Vance: Team Continue To Build At Training

DEMI VANCE says Rangers have been continuing to build at training in the last few weeks as they prepare for Sunday’s match against Partick Thistle.

With no game last weekend, the Light Blues have been busy at Rangers Training Centre as they look to continue their strong start to the season in the Park’s Motor Group SWPL 1.

Looking ahead to the match, Vance is expecting a test at Petershill, she said: “I think Partick Thistle have taken a lot of teams by surprise, they came up late on with Forfar dropping out the league and they have given a really good account of themselves. They have been scoring goals against top teams so we are expecting a decent game.

“We found a wee bit of a rhythm in the Celtic game and it is probably one of our best performances of the season so we have just been building on that. Unfortunately we have had a week with no game but we have taken that week to do some good training and all come back together again.”

With Rachel McLauchlan picking up for October earlier this week, Vance feels a number of players are now hitting form.

She continued: “We tried a new formation this year and it took us a few games to get into how we wanted to play but I think in each game we have got slightly better.

“We have shown we can score lots of goals and we haven't conceded many so we will take how we are playing at the minute and just build on it and go into the next set of fixtures.

“A lot of people are hitting some good form and with Rachel getting Player of the Month as well. It is great for the club and great for her personally so we will go into Partick Thistle full of confidence and hoping to take the three points.”
