Devine netted the winning goal for the young Gers in Sunday’s tough fixture against East Kilbride which saw them collect another three points in the Lowland League.
The Light Blues defender sat down exclusively to talk to RangersTV ahead of Saturday’s match against Gretna and reflected on Sunday’s game saying: “It was a really important win for us. We had to bounce back from a set back a few weeks before, but everyone was delighted to get the job done.
“They [East Kilbride] made us dig deep right to the end and made it hard for us to break them down, but we kept playing the way we were playing to get the goal.”
The defender highlighted how the squad have enjoyed playing in the campaign this season especially with the compact fixture schedule. He added: “It [Lowland League] has been really good so far; we’ve faced different challenges playing against different types of men, but everyone has really taken to it and hopefully improve as the season goes on.
“We need to keep together as a squad as it is a busy schedule but I’m looking forward to get as many games under my belt as possible.”
The Ger looked ahead to Saturday’s fixture against Gretna in the Lowland League and underlined what the team are anticipating for that match, adding: “It will be another tough game and a different challenge from East Kilbride but again if we just keep playing the way we are we will hopefully get the three points.
“Having the fans gives us an extra level of motivation when they are there, we want to make sure that we go out and play well and show them what we can do.”
