It will be the first time a professional Rangers women’s team has played at the historic stadium - but not a first for Docherty.
The full-back was part of a Light Blues side that faced Inverness at Ibrox behind closed doors back in 2010 while the side were amateur.
She is looking forward to getting the opportunity to play again, and this time in front of a crowd.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the match, Docherty said: “We are really looking forward to it, it is obviously a massive occasion for the squad and for women's football in general.
"I remember it was a good game and I think I scored, I can't remember the scoreline but it was a great occasion.
“The squad we have got just now we are obviously playing really well as a group and to sit here and say that I'm going to be playing at Ibrox on Sunday is a massive honour for me, my family and my teammates.
“Hopefully on Sunday we can generate a number of fans as well. For young kids growing up to be able to see something they can be is fantastic too.
With just four games of the league season remaining, it is another important fixture for Malky Thomson’s side as they look to continue their unbeaten run.
She continued: “It sounds really cliche to say but for us it has been about one game at a time and the men's team do that here as well because it is massive when you are playing at a big club as you have got to look at what is ahead of you.
“We just have to focus on the game that is coming up next and for us that is Aberdeen at Ibrox. We have put ourselves in a really really good position and I think the biggest thing for me is the strength and depth in the squad and there's competition for places so it's one game at a time and we are really looking forward to Sunday.
“Aberdeen are a good side, their structure behind the ball is really difficult to break down so we know as a squad that is where we will have to be patient but it will be a difficult match.”
