The Gers take on David Martindale’s side sandwiched between their Champions League second-leg qualifier against Servette on Tuesday night.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference the midfielder reflected on his first competitive appearance in front of his home supporters in midweek and says the team are focused on the task at hand tomorrow.
He said: “It was brilliant, it felt like a long time coming, I have felt like I have been here so long already, obviously we had a few friendlies already there, but the atmosphere was incredible. I think that was massive for us for how we needed to start in the fixture, and those two early goals I think a lot of that was to do with the crowd as well.
“The way we have to go it has got to be game by game at the minute, we have got a game every three or four days, so we have not really looked into the next fixture, it is all about Livingston so we have just been focusing on that.
“The way we are as footballers that you have just got to get used to that, if you do look to far ahead then you can slip up, so I think the focus has to be on tomorrow.”
The summer signing feels there is more to come from the squad as they gel together and hopes there is further positivity to follow after their first half showing in midweek.
He continued: “There is definitely more to come, that was the issue against Kilmarnock, we didn't do enough to disjoint the opposition, so we did dissect that, and that is what came out in the first half against Servette, it should have been the whole game but it is good signs.
“The more time we have together the more we will gel and understand each other and how we want to play, there is a lot of talented players who have come in, so I am sure it will all come together nicely.
“That was also what come off the back of Kilmarnock as well, we probably had to be more positive with more forward running and energy in our game, and in the first half that is what we had.
The 25-year-old is expecting a similar challenge to the one they faced in Ayrshire last week but says the team must find a way to win.
He added: “Teams are going to come and try their best to stop us, and frustrate us which happened last week, it is about learning from that, we will have a similar test tomorrow against Livingston, we are going to come up against that a lot so we need to find a way to beat them.
“They are a direct side, they are good from set-pieces, they will camp on the edge of the box to try and defend in numbers, they are direct side who are a threat from throw-ins, corners and free-kicks.”
