Skipper James Tavernier is in the XI today on what will be his 250th appearance, and he is joined by Jon McLaughlin, Connor Goldson, Ianis Hagi, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Ryan Kent, Brandon Barker, Kemar Roofe, Balogan and Borna Barisic.
Manager Steven Gerrard explained in midweek there would be changes in the central defensive area through the season, given the quality he has there, with Balogan given the nod today alongside Connor Goldson.
Andy Firth is the substitute goalkeeper today with Allan McGregor injured, and he is joined there by Calvin Bassey, Helander, fit-again Cedric Itten, Nathan Patterson, Glen Kamara, Alfredo Morelos, Greg Stewart and Scott Arfield.
