It was a strong performance from Rangers Women as they progressed to the fourth round of the SSE Scottish Cup with a 6-0 victory and McCartney feels the squad carried out their game plan for the 90 minutes.
She said: “We are very pleased, I think we carried out the game plan throughout the full game and even through all the substitutions we managed to carry that through the 90 minutes.
McCartney netted the fourth of the afternoon early in the second half after finding space in the box and getting on the end of a cross from Rosie Mcquillan.
She added: “I was just hoping that Rosie was going to cross it and then when she did I knew that I just had to place it and keep it safe and I was very happy to score it.
“It just shows how well we can play, but of course we can play better than this.”
Rangers now face an away trip to Forfar Farmington in the fourth round of the competition next Sunday.
McCartney expects a tough game, she added: “It is going to be a physical game as always. It is away up at Forfar so it is going to be a long journey up there but we have just got to give 110 per cent and do what we have done in past games.
