Marking the first time the annual conference has been held in Scotland, there were a range of keynote speakers and breakout sessions, information stands from third sector organisations, and an evening reception for over 300 attendees to enjoy.
There was an introduction from Amanda Struby, Head of Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Covenant Team, supported by Genevieve Horsted and Briony Simpson (Assistant Heads of the Covenant Team), while attendees included Minister for Veterans and People, Alistair Carns OBE MC MP.
The Rangers Charity Foundation was a joint signatory, along with the club, of the Armed Forces Covenant in 2016.
As well as significant donations to armed forces and veterans’ charities to date and in-kind support such as can collections and signed merchandise, the club and Charity Foundation also donate tickets for veterans.
Rangers Charity Foundation Marketing and Communications Manager, Jennifer Hutchison, delivered a presentation at the conference on how Rangers and the Rangers Charity Foundation engage with and support the Armed Forces and veterans as holders of the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award.
The presentation included information on how the club and Charity Foundation mark Armed Forces Day and Remembrance Day, its community programmes for Veterans, the Armed Forces Fund, and much more.
