The Gers head to Petershill to take on last season’s title winners Glasgow City in an eagerly anticipated clash as they make their return to league action.
Speaking to the official club website ahead of the fixture the goalkeeper wants the team to carry on their recent form after racking up 10 domestic wins in a row last weekend.
She commented: “That momentum is important in football and I think we have got that at the moment.
“We have obviously got this massive game on Sunday against Glasgow City and it is going to be difficult. We know that we drew with them the last time we played. Hopefully we can keep that momentum going and take all three points.
The shot stopper feels the competition for places is really driving the squad on at the moment with several Gers stars making full returns from injury in recent weeks.
She added: “It is massive, the competition in this squad is. I couldn't even predict a team. We have got such squad depth, everyone in this team wants to play and would put a performance in.
“It is hard for Jo; I wouldn't want to be in her shoes trying to select a team but that is really positive for us and it means we can rotate the team throughout the season, which is important as well.”
The 27-year-old acknowledges it is still early days in the league campaign but knows how crucial three points would be on Sunday, with the Gers able to open up a 11-point gap over the title holders albeit having played a game more.
She added: “We want to make that gap as big as possible. We all know what football is like, it can change at any point. The more wins we can get under our belt early in the season it will really help us come the end of it.
“City are a very strong side; they have won multiple titles in a row and they are winners. It will be a tough task but we have the potential to go out and beat them on Sunday.
“[Top of the table] that is where you want to be and we want to be there come the end of the season. It is still early days; we know it is a massive task to win this league because there are some really good teams in it.
“I think being at Rangers that is what you strive for, that is obviously our goal at the end of the season. We are still early days in it, we need to take each game as it comes and this one is massive for us on Sunday and we will go out to win.”
