The young Gers make the trip to Ochilview Park looking to seal their place in the next round, with the League Two outfit having already enjoyed a victory over Scottish Premiership opposition this season in the form of St. Johnstone.
Speaking to the official Rangers website ahead of the game, Fraser commented: “We’re really excited. It’s a competition that we’re setting our sights on winning, and we really want to go and progress through the rounds.
“We have full focus on this competition and we’re not taking it lightly. We have full respect for the teams that we play, but we’re out here to win.
“We won’t get it easy from our point of view on the ball and trying to create chances. We also need to be alert to their attacking threat. They haven’t scored many goals recently, but we know that can change in the matter of seconds in a game. One of their strikers who used to be here at Rangers, Matty Yates, has a good scoring reputation so we need to be on our toes.”
The Light Blues can certainly take confidence from their comprehensive 3-0 victory over Spartans in the previous round, with Fraser marking the triumph with a terrific strike of his own to break the deadlock.
He added: “I haven’t scored too many recently, but it’s among my favourites. I just remember seeing Bailey [Rice] receive the ball and I made a run. I happened to pick up the second ball and I drove forward, then the space opened up for me and I smashed it into the top corner.
“There are a lot of positives to take from the Spartans match. I think we dealt with their challenges much better, and we were a lot more patient with the ball. Our use of the ball was great, dragging them out and creating spaces, and we scored three good goals.
“They’re in the same league as Stenhousemuir so we recognise the challenge ahead, but we hope to take the positives into tomorrow evening.”
