STEVEN GERRARD and Ryan Kent have been named as SPFL Manager and Player of the Month for August.
Gerrard oversaw the Light Blues make a record-equalling defensive start to the season with six clean sheets from six as Gers won five of their opening six matches to sit at the top of the table.
Attacker Kent, meanwhile, has three goals from his opening six matches, and has been outstanding for the club going forward so far this season.
The duo will now be looking to kick-on to even greater heights in September, with Gers having another four huge SPFL fixtures, while the European qualifiers also get underway.
