From the team which defeated St Johnstone 3-0 on Wednesday to make it three wins and no goals conceded from three league matches so far this season, Canadian skipper Scott Arfield comes in for Joe Aribo, while Sweden international Filip Helander starts in place of Leon Balogan.
The manager revealed at his Friday press conference Balogan would miss the game with a minor quad issue, while Aribo has taken a slight knock, with Gerrard opting not to risk him today.
That means Jon McLaughlin continues in goal for the Light Blues, with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Ianis Hagi, Ryan Jack, Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Alfredo Morelos and Borna Barisic also in the XI here in West Lothian.
On the bench for Gers today are Andy Firth, Calvin Bassey, George Edmundson, Steven Davis, Cedric Itten, Nathan Patterson, Brandon Barker, Greg Stewart and Kemar Roofe.
Gers will be looking to build on what has been a positive beginning to the campaign so far against a side whom they defeated on all four occasions last season.
