It has been a fantastic week for a number of them who have seen action across the continent, with their focus for the next four weeks being solely on Rangers and what promises to be a hectic fixture schedule with domestic and European action.
Indeed, that number of 15 is set to be swelled further in next month’s break, with Cedric Itten returning from his injury lay-off, and non-UEFA national players also having fixtures.
For now, manager Steven Gerrard has been reflecting on a positive week, and told RangersTV in an exclusive interview released last night: "We are very proud to release the players first and foremost. It is fantastic for us as a squad to have a lot of representation around Europe.
"We wish them well when they go - but obviously as a manager you hope they come back fit and healthy so we can try to continue where we left off.
"But they have all had different tests and come up against different opposition. Scotland on Monday was quite a unique one with the squad changing overnight, so that was a different test for them, though unfortunately Jacko [Ryan Jack] or Jon [McLaughlin] didn't play.
"You also had Davo [Steven Davis] who equaled the [all-time Northern Ireland caps] record which is fantastic for him personally.
"Glen Kamara was 'Man of the Match' [for Finland against the Republic of Ireland] and I thought he was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch.
"So they have gone away and represented the club very well."

Davis matching Pat Jennings’ total of 119 caps is an incredible feat, and testament to his fantastic professionalism throughout his career.
Despite the Ulstermen going down 5-1 to an Erling Haaland-inspired Norway on Monday in Belfast, Gerrard still saw those attributes shining through, and he continued: "Even within the game, he continued with his own standards. He was involved in a game which was 5-1 and was away from them, but he continued to do the right things, and that sums him up.
"On a daily basis, he has incredible standards and that comes out in his performances, but the way he represents himself and this club on and off the pitch, he is a credit to himself and his family."
Back in Glasgow, and a still exceptionally talented group of players resumed training ahead of Saturday’s Ibrox clash with Dundee United.
Gerrard outlined what the last 10-days or so has looked like for them, adding: "We have given them some time off with their families as we have been in quite a hectic schedule, and that is about to get even more intense going into September and October.
"I do like to give the players here some time with their families - we have had a tough pre-season, and played a lot of games to start a season on the back of a lockdown.
"I think it is important they freshen up from a mental point of view - we have trained a couple of times now and the standard has been excellent.
"You can see the likes of Kemar who has been given work to do away from here now starting to look really ready which is fantastic.
"It has also been a chance for us to get injured players closer to being back into full training, so Jermain Defoe is on the verge of that, Cedric Itten is on the verge of that and Jordan Jones, his injury is not as bad as first feared, so we are hoping in a week's time, we should be in real, good shape from an injury point of view as well.
"It has been a positive international break."
