The Light Blues will travel north at the weekend to face Malky Mackay’s side at the Global Energy Stadium, and the manager says Diallo will feature in the squad for another important league fixture.
Speaking to the press ahead of the match, he said: “We are very excited to have him and I’m very happy that he wanted to join us for the remainder of the season. We were looking to add a player to the front because we lost Ianis [Hagi] for this season.
“I’m really happy that we could bring in a player of his qualities and I am sure he can give us a lot of strength in the coming months. The quality that he possesses is a quality I’m using in my team, they’re all positive talks with him.
"The stature of the club excited him, and I am glad that we could welcome him to this football club. The price tag is there but I don’t think that we are looking at the price, he’s still a young player who wants to play games – you can feel that when you talk to him, all he wants to do is be on the pitch.
“We are bringing him to this club to be of value to the team, he’s part of the squad so he has to play as well as any other player, but I am full of confidence that he will give that.”
Van Bronckhorst reflected on both Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield’s performances during Wednesday night’s game against Livingston and insists the presence of experienced players within the squad is important with the busy fixture list ahead.
He continued: “Ryan came into the game and had a very good impact on the team, he was good after the game as well, so I am really happy for him that he got his first minutes under his belt - I’m really pleased with Ryan.
“Scott has been a really important player for the team, not only this season but the seasons before as well. He’s an experienced player and one that I definitely want to have longer at Rangers, hopefully we can welcome him next season as well.
“It’s very important [to have them], they are experienced and had their big moments in their careers to be important, so I am very happy that they are back. We are almost fully fit again as a squad; we have to have the players available because the run of games that we have are coming really fast and there’s big games as well so it’s good to have everyone on board.
“Tomorrow we can welcome back Ryan Kent from suspension and Joe Aribo. He [Joe] had a good rest this week and is ready for tomorrow and Amad will also be in the squad as well.”
