The Dutchman insisted the squad are fully focussed ahead of tomorrow’s match as they look to deliver an important three points away from home.
Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s well-anticipated match, he said: “You should go there with the desire and belief that you can get something out of the game, that’s always important when you go into big games.
“That’s what we have to show tomorrow, the desire to do everything to get the result but make sure that when we have the ball, we play the game the way we want.”
The Gers boss recognised the challenges that will be presented in their away fixture at the weekend but insists the squad have prepared well to deliver a strong performance and positive result.
He added: “It’s very important as there will always be a lot of noise as you expect in an Old Firm. We’ve trained very well; we still have a meeting tomorrow about how we want to play and our game plan. What I’ve seen from this squad is they always prepare well for what can happen in games, tomorrow will be the same.
“When you’re concentrating on your performance, where you have to be on the pitch, how to press, those are movements that we have trained for the last couple of days, and you have to show that in games.
"The atmosphere will be very hectic and hostile, but it’s our job to perform in any circumstances that you will face.”
