Speaking to the media ahead of the game, he said: “They have quality players. The changes they’ve made because they lost many quality and influential players compared to last season, they’re a very strong team.
“They’re top of the league in Serie A, which shows the start that they’ve had.
“We’re well prepared and we know the task and challenge that we have, which is playing against a very, very good team.”
Napoli are unbeaten in Serie A so far this season and got their Group A campaign off to a winning start with a 4-1 victory over Liverpool.
Van Bronckhorst says Rangers will need to be alert to Napoli’s attacking threats as he praised the work of his opposite number Luciano Spalletti.
He continued: “He [Spalletti] is doing a really good job. I like how his team plays and I’m really impressed with the work he’s done now.
“The left winger, Khvicha Kvaratskheila, he’s very good. He’s both-footed, fast. A lot of danger comes from his side.
“He’s one of the players we need to make sure we don’t allow into the game. He has the qualities.”
