The Ger was excited to feature on the score sheet today as the squad picked up another important three points in the league campaign.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following the squad’s important win, she said: “I’m delighted to finally not hit the crossbar! It’s been a tough week with three games over the past seven days, I think the last three or four games was quite frustrating for us but today we just really enjoyed it and I think it showed from our performance.
“The early goal did settle us, even looking back on our last few games it’s taken us a while to get our first goal. From there it gave us the boost to try and go forward a bit more and be a bit more direct, that showed because we went in at half time feeling pretty confident and settled.
“The weather was absolutely gorgeous today, and a big occasion for the women’s department here with the U19’s and U16’s playing as well, nine points from nine for everyone today so it was great! A big congratulations to the U19’s and U16’s for winning their Cup finals – it’s a good day all around.”
Grant added the importance of depth within the squad after five different goal scorers appeared this afternoon.
She continued: “The last seven days we’ve had a lot of rotation within the team, everyone puts in a solid performance. Everyone knows what their jobs are whether you’re starting or on the bench, it just shows the strength we’ve had and we’re looking forward to pushing on for the rest of the season.”
