Gers B fell to a narrow defeat to the Bees at the Rangers Training Centre this afternoon, although the 2-0 scoreline was a harsh reflection on the contest.
Grant was one of six players still eligible to play Under-18s football who started the match, and he says the west London side posed a big challenge.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match, the 17-year-old said: “I really enjoy it, especially in games like today when it’s a big challenge for everyone involved. These are the games that I want to be playing in and I’m hungry for more.
“I think the game was full of challenges, and the fact they were more experienced than us really did tell in the later stages of the game; we fell off it a little bit and our shape went, and that’s when they capitalised.
“It’s what happens in football. It can be down to luck and anything can happen.
“We had been working in the last few days about how to break down their press and the way we thought they would play, but they actually changed today which was another challenge that we came across.”
It promises to be an exciting end to the campaign for Grant after he captained the Under-18s to the Scottish Youth Cup final which takes place at the end of the season.
The teenage defender also recently celebrated a call-up to the Scotland Under-19s squad as Billy Stark’s side look to seal qualification to the European Championships.
On the honour of representing his country, Grant added: “It’s a great opportunity, and it will be a really big challenge as we’re facing three good teams. I’m looking forward to it.”
