The striker was the difference maker as her second half header proved to be significant as the Gers completed a comeback to leave the Excelsior Stadium 2-1 winners over rivals Celtic.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win the forward feels the Light Blues got their rewards for their showing in the second half as they leapfrogged their opponents to go a point clear at the top.
She said: “It was a good game; I think we put in all the work that we done this week and in previous weeks. It was good to come out with a win heading into the international break.
“We just try to see it as any other game. We have worked all week towards this so it was no different.
“We just spoke about what we needed to do in the second half to push on. We didn’t have bad first half but there was definitely things that we could build on in there. She [Potter] just told us what we needed to do and I think we showed that in the second half.
The 27-year-old feels the team have shown they are always capable of scoring goals as the visitors responded to going behind to claim the win and she says the team are a ‘good place’ heading into the break as they now sit top of the league table.
She continued: “We always know that we are going to score goals. It is unfortunate to concede but we know that we had enough time to get the win.
“I think it is good that we have also got a lot of numbers back as well going into that, so we can just look after people a little it, it is a really good place to be in.”
