Looking to close the gap at the top of the table the Gers had to settle for a point in a match which had very few chances as the sides cancelled each other out at Broadwood stadium.
Speaking to RangersTV the Gers captain expressed her frustration at the side not being able to find the breakthrough on the day but wants the team to take the positives moving forward. She said: “We are probably a bit disappointed with the result.
“I thought we had quite a lot of the ball and a few chances, but just couldn’t find the goal, just slightly disappointed to be honest.”
The 28-year-old was happy to keep the opposition out in a solid display from the Light Blues backline and says the message to the players at the break was more of the same as they tried to find a winner.
She continued: “It was just to try keep doing what we were doing, we were doing well in the game, had a lot of the ball, but just needed that final edge, it was just to keep going and try push for that goal.
“There was obviously that chance right at the end, the goalkeeper has dropped it and we’ve not followed up.
“There were other chances in the game that we maybe should have done better with, we will watch over the game and analyse it and we’ll get back to things this week.
“A clean sheet is what we want every game, we pride ourselves on that. There were definitely good spells that we will look at and we will find a way to make sure that we are hopefully winning these tight games for the rest of the season.”
The centre back knows there is a lot of football still too played between now and the end of the season as the Gers get ready for a quick turnaround as they play their next game in three days time against Aberdeen as they look to get back to winning ways.
She said: “We have got the game in hand on Wednesday night so we will be looking to close the gap then and there plenty of games to play.
“That is the good thing when you have got so many games, I am personally disappointed today and I sure the other girls are so the best thing is to get back straight into another game.”
