The Light Blues take on the Edinburgh side at Broadwood Stadium this Sunday as their cup campaign resumes with a place at Hampden Park for the semis at stake.
Speaking to RangersTV in the build up to the clash the striker says the team is eager to add to their League Cup success already this season.
She said: “It is something that we have set out to do at the start of the season, we have obviously managed to get the League Cup which was a great occasion and day for us.
"We are really looking forward to it, we have obviously set ourselves goals and targets and I think the Scottish Cup was one of them, we obviously want to get ourselves into the semi-final, we need to go out and put a good performance in against Hibs to do that and get us there.”
The forward has encouraged the team to carry on the winning form that they find themselves in with the Gers winning their last three outings ahead of the game against Dean Gibson’s side.
She continued: “It is massive, momentum, it gives us confidence going into some really big games that we have coming up, to keep that momentum going with three wins on the bounce is really good, we just need to try keep going and pushing.”
Howat is fully aware of what to expect from their Sunday opponents having faced them several times this season but says it up to them to rise to the challenge and progress in the cup competition.
She added: “Hibs are a great side and they are only getting stronger as the seasons go on, we know exactly how they are going to play, they will make it really difficult for us, they are always well set up.
“For us we just need to focus on ourselves and how we go and break them down and take advantage of the players that we have.
“We have played them three times already this season so we know the type of team that they are, hard to break down and good defensively.
“I think for us it again it just about trying to keep that winning momentum going forward and play the way we know that we can and try get us into the next round.”
The 25-year-old is confident the side will be ready for what is a crucial run of games coming up for the Light Blues, as the league split fixtures are to follow after Sunday’s cup tie.
She said: “There are obviously massive games for us, we were maybe not sitting in the position that we would want to at this point but we are still in with a really good chance of going and pushing in the league.
“We are going to need everyone in the squad and that is where we are going to show our real strength and togetherness when we come into this split, we have got so many big games, we just need to stick together, get behind each other and make sure we put the work in during the week to give ourselves the best chance on the Sundays and the Wednesdays as the games come up.”
