EIGHT Rangers players are away on international duty this week as qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup continue. Here’s a look at who is away and when they will be in action over the coming days:

Scotland - Jenna Fife, Nicola Docherty, Rachel McLauchlan, Jane Ross and Zoe Ness

  • Friday 22 October - Scotland v Hungary - WC2023 Qualifier - 7.35pm

  • Tuesday 26 October - Scotland v Sweden - Friendly - 7.05pm

Five Rangers players have been called up to Pedro Martinez Losa’s Scotland squad as they continue their qualifying campaign for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Scotland got off to a strong start last month with victories in their opening two matches against Hungary and the Faroe Islands.

They will be looking to build on that this time round as they host Hungary at Hampden on Friday evening.

With only one qualifying match this international break, the Scots will then play Sweden in a friendly on Tuesday evening at St Mirren Park.

Northern Ireland - Demi Vance

  • Saturday 23 October - England v Northern Ireland - WC2023 Qualifier - 5.15pm

  • Tuesday 26 October - Northern Ireland v Austria - WC2023 Qualifier - 7pm

Demi Vance has once again been called-up to the Northern Ireland squad as they also look to continue their strong start to their qualifying campaign.

Vance made her return to the international set-up last month after a year out through injury, and featured in both matches as Northern Ireland recorded back to back 4-0 victories over Luxembourg and Latvia respectively.

On Saturday they face England, who are top seeds in Group D, at Wembley Stadium before hosting Austria on Tuesday evening.

Jamaica - Chantelle Swaby and Kayla McCoy

  • Sunday 24 October - Jamaica v Costa Rica - Friendly - 10pm

Defender Chantelle Swaby and striker Kayla McCoy will both travel to Florida as Jamaica continue preparations for the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign next month. Sunday’s friendly against Costa Rica will be held at DRV PNK Stadium, the home of MLS side Inter Miami.

It’s the final friendly match for Jamaica before they start their World Cup qualifying campaign against Bermuda on November 24.
