Scotland secured qualification for Euro 2024 this international break, as Steve Clarke guided the squad to their second successive European Championships.
Despite defeat to Spain on Thursday evening, an impressive start to the group ensured they’ll be in Germany next summer.
In Tuesday’s friendly against France, Souttar was a 64th minute substitute as he was introduced in place of Liam Cooper for the final period against the World Cup runners-up.
Borna Barisic – Croatia

Wales 2-1 Croatia – Sunday, October 15 – UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifier
It was a difficult international window for Croatia as they suffered two defeats in UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying.
Borna started both matches for his country, as they narrowly lost out 1-0 to Turkey on Thursday, before a 2-1 defeat to Wales on Sunday.
There’s still all to play for next month in Group D, as both Croatia and Wales bid for that automatic qualification spot.
Ridvan Yilmaz - Turkey

Turkey 4-0 Latvia – Sunday, October 15 – UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifier
Ridvan was part of the Turkey squad as they secured their place in next year’s European Championships in Germany.
A 1-0 victory over Croatia on Thursday, and a convincing 4-0 win against Latvia saw Turkey qualify for the tournament.
Jose Cifuentes – Ecuador

Ecuador 0-0 Colombia – Wednesday, October 18 – FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier – Kick-off 12.30am
The South American World Cup qualifiers continued this week, with Jose Cifuentes involved for Ecuador as they continued their qualifying campaign.
Cifuentes started Friday evening’s match against Bolivia as Kevin Rodriguez’s 96th minute winner saw them to a 2-1 victory.
On Wednesday, it was a goalless draw as Ecuador came up against Colombia in qualifying.
Abdallah Sima – Senegal
Senegal 1-0 Cameroon – Monday, 16 October – International Friendly
There was just one match for Senegal this month, as they faced Cameroon in a friendly.
Abdallah’s performances with Gers saw him recalled into the squad replacing the injured Nicolas Jackson. He was named on the bench for the friendly, with Sadio Mane’s penalty the difference in the 1-0 win.

Scotland U21s 2-1 Malta U21s – Tuesday, October 17 – UEFA Euro U21 Qualifier
It was a positive international window for Scotland U21s as they recorded two victories in their UEFA Euro qualifying campaign.
Leon played 90 minutes in both matches as they first defeated Hungary on Friday evening, before a 2-1 victory over Malta on Tuesday with Rangers loanee Alex Lowry on target from the penalty spot.
