The Rangers Head Coach said he was impressed by Hibs, but admitted it was impossible for the Gers to compete at the moment.
He explained: “It is a really really bad day of course when you have lost 8-0 against what I think is the best team in the country because if I compare City and Hibs, I think Hibs are stronger. I was impressed with them in terms of players and their shape.
“When you conceded four goals in 22 minutes the game is already over.
“The girls are working and have had three games in a week against City, Hibs and Motherwell it is too much. I am not naive and this is a fact this is where we are at right now.”
Rangers were 4-0 down at the break as Hibs piled on the pressure from the start, with the Gers failing to have a shot on target all game.
Vignal added: “To be honest we played really bad today and we looked really really tired physically and I can understand this.
“It is so important to be ready for next season if we want to win something because at the moment we can’t win something because the gap is too big.”
One positive for the Gers was the return of Brogan Hay and Hannah Robertson as they both played 30 minutes after recent injuries.
Vignal said: “I am really pleased, Brogan was on fire before her injury and Hannah is a really good player aswell and it has been an issue for us.
“We are missing Lisa [Martinez] as well at the back and you can see the difference but I am still positive and I said the truth to the girls, I don’t want to find any excuses regarding the job.
“They will be off for two days because they need to relax and they need to have a rest and they will come back fresh on Wednesday for the rest of the week and prepare for the Celtic game.
