The Light Blues started in impressive fashion at the Training Centre creating several opportunities in the opening stages before being rewarded with goals from Robbie Ure and Thompson Ishaka before adding two further goals in the second period and going on to book their place in the final.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win the defender said the two halves in the game were very different but praised the team for how quickly they started the contest.
He said: “It was game of two halves, we started really well and we dominated the first half, created lots of chances, we didn't take as much as we would have liked but the chances were there.
“Second half it was a bit different, they had more of the ball than what they did in the first and we chased it quite a bit but when we got the ball towards the end of the game we punished them and made it 4-0.
“The energy was there from the start of the game, we pressed them down and didn't really let them get out of their own half, we should have punished them more but we need to work on that going into the final.”
The right-back was happy to be part of the backline that kept out the opposition on the day and was also delighted to provide two assists for his teammates as he said it is something he has been looking to add into his game.
He continued: “It is something we have been trying to work on the full season, as a modern day full-back you want to get assists so creating goals for the team and especially when it is a win it feels good.
“Clean sheets are something we have lacked a lot of this season but to get one towards the end of it shows that we have been working on it in training, and to get it in a semi-final is really positive.
The defender is looking ahead to the final and wants the team to approach the occasion with a ‘positive mindset’ when it comes around.
He added: “There is a lot of training to go into the game and then we will look at previously games against them and we should go there with a positive mindset and take the chance.”
