Jack, now a hugely experienced European campaigner with Gers, expects the Swiss outfit to make things tricky for the Light Blues tomorrow night.
But, with a 2-1 lead in tow from the first leg, he wants them to retain their focus and play this match like they would any other.
He told tonight’s press conference here in Geneva: "Every game is going to pose us different challenges - tomorrow night is going to be no different.
"We are going to be against a good side with players in midfield who are technically good, good on the ball and strong, and the likes of me and others who play in midfield need to match that - we need to be strong, we need to stand up to it and play the way we play.
"It is important we don't just come and sit in - it is important we have a go, and we look forward to it."
It is certainly significantly warmer on the banks of Lac Leman than it is in Glasgow, but Jack doesn’t see that being a factor with Gers having had a rigorous pre-season in Germany in similar conditions.
He continued: "It is going to be tough, every match is going to be tough in Europe this year and tomorrow will be no different.
"That is what we go away on pre-season for - we trained in the heat, we had a friendly in Germany in the heat where it was 30-plus degrees, so we are well used to it, and I don't think it will be too much of an issue."
Jack also discussed the increasing strength in depth available to boss Michael Beale, with new recruit Jose Cifuentes coming in for Jack at the weekend.
He continued: "Over the years, we have always had great options and a lot of top midfielders who have been at the club and moved on from the club.
"But I have always said if we are going to be successful, especially with the amount of games that we want to play this year with games every three days, we are going to need a strong squad and midfield will be a big part of that."
