The Light Blues are on a superb run in the league at the moment, and secured an excellent 2-0 win at Parkhead when the teams last met in October.
Despite that, Tavernier insists his side must stay absolutely focused to continue their run and ensure they claim a victory tomorrow.
He told today’s press conference: "We have to take into account the confidence we have been carrying through the season. We had a game against them earlier in the season and it was a good performance - but we have carried on that form throughout the season and that is why I say we just have to keep this consistency going.
"We can't hit any speedbumps on the way - we just have to keep full focused on the job in hand.
"We know they have got good players that can hurt us, so we have got to be fully concentrated."
Tomorrow’s game will again, unfortunately be played behind closed-doors – the first Old Firm game at Ibrox to be held as such.
It’s a major frustration for Tavernier and his teammates – but they absolutely won’t let it detract from their performance tomorrow.
He added: "You are going to miss the fans playing at home, but it is our pitch and we are more familiar with the surroundings.
"It may work in our favour, but it is a game of football. I have played many times in these games but it comes down to who wants it more on the day.
"We have got to approach it right and start the game off right.
"It is disappointing, but you see what is happening around the world and it is safety first - you don't want to put anyone's lives in jeopardy.
"But it is disappointing - these are the games where you love to hear the atmosphere when you are playing on the pitch, but safety and health comes first, so it is one of those where we wish fans could come into the ground sooner, but we are just going to have to deal with how it is tomorrow."
