The striker stepped back onto the pitch for the first time since July 2022 in the win over Motherwell last month with game time to follow in their final game of the year against Hamilton on December 17.
The Light Blues are back in action after the winter break for the first time tomorrow afternoon as they take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup and the forward is hopeful she can continue to build up her minutes on a personal level in the matches to come.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the cup clash, she commented: “That is obviously my personal goal. There is a lot of competition here within the group so I just need to first and foremost be focusing on my training performances and then hopefully that will lead to getting some more game time.
“On a personal note it was great to just get back on the pitch again with the team. It has been a long year of rehab but I am over the moon to obviously be back and to be involved and contributing again.”
The 34-year-old says full focus has been on their first fixture of the calendar year with further exciting matches to come and she feels the side must approach their match in the highlands in a professional manner.
She continued: “Our focus has been on Inverness at the weekend. Looking to just reconnect on the pitch with each other, get back on the ball and just focus towards our game plan for Sunday.
“Every game we are looking to go in and perform and to take away the win and three points, obviously it is a cup game so it will just be the win on Sunday. Our focus will be on our game plan and how we can go and execute that to come away with the win.
“We will go into it professionally as we always do. It is a cup game so I have no doubt that Inverness are going to be up for it, giving the occasion playing at their stadium and hopefully attracting a number of fans. I think it will be a good game.
The forward says it is an exciting time to be part of the club as the Gers target success in three competitions in the second half of the campaign but insists they will take each match as it comes in order to try achieve their goals.
She added: “We have had a positive start to the season. There is obviously a long way still to go, but we will look to be competing come the end of the season.
“There is a lot of games to go. It will be just taking it one game at a time, so our focus at the moment is on Inverness. We are aware that it is going to be a busy second half of the season with hopefully a number of games to play, it is exciting and good to be a part of.”
