The Light Blues will make the trip to Foundation Park for the second time this month as they enter at the round two stage to take on their fellow SWPL opposition.
The Gers were victorious in the final last season at Tynecastle back in March in what was Jo Potter’s first piece of silverware in charge of the club, and the forward is targeting domestic success in the cup for the third season running.
She commented: “Obviously winning the cup was great for us and exciting. It is what we are looking to go and do again.
“The aim of every game is to go in and win so that will be our focus this game against Dundee United.
“I think we will have to take it one game at a time but obviously the overall aim is to go and win the trophy again and retain it.”
The 35-year-old recently made her return to the pitch in the league victory over Hearts, as she shared her delight of earning her first minutes of the campaign after picking up an injury in the summer.
She continued: “I am really happy to be back. Obviously unfortunately I missed a few months there due to injury, but I am just buzzing to be back involved again and around the squad.
“There is no ideal timing to pick up an injury.
“Unfortunately it happened at the start of the season so it meant I missed a bit of pre-season and then obviously the beginning of the season.
“I am just happy to be back fit and available again and looking forward to the remainder of the season.”
The former Manchester City striker has spoken of the competition for places in the Gers frontline this campaign, with all forward’s starting the opening weeks in fine form in front of goal, with the number 13 saying it is helping the team’s showings on the pitch.
She added: “For every position in the team to be honest there is competition there so I think it is only going to continue to push and grow the group.
“It means that the players who are winning the jerseys and playing are the ones that are performing.
“The focus for me will be contributing whatever way I can.
“There is obviously competition there in the forward positions but my focus will be on showing in training that hopefully I can be deserving of more game time and continue to build on that.”
