The Light Blues were in action for the first time since making their return to training at the end of June as they gained valuable minutes for the squad ahead of the new campaign in a pre-season friendly.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match where the Gers ran out convincing winners, the assistant coach said:
“I think it is really beneficial, I think we needed the minutes.
“Good to get certain people back off camp and get them back into club football and get that mindset back, so that is what pre-season is for, minutes and getting into good habbits.
“We want to be good in front of goal and we want to take the chances that we create.
“I think we had nine different scorers tonight if I am correct so that just shows the quality across the squad and how ruthless we need to be going into the new season.”
The former Burnley interim head coach says this time being back is about building on from the good work of last season and hitting the ground running again straight away.
She continued: “It has just been picking up where we left off, those good habbits.
“Making sure that we are doing the right things in and out of possession, that we are really focused on the things that we did really well last year, because we were excellent.
“We had a really good campaign and obviously we fell just short at the end and we need to make sure that we are clinical in the big moments.”
Bradford said it was important to get the squad back together having had several players away on international duty as they look to continue building up to the season opener on August 11.
She added: “It is just ticking the sessions off and games off as they come and gearing up for the start of the season, because we are going to need to hit the ground running.
“It is going to be a tough opening month so we need to be ready for that.
“It is difficult when you lose a lot of your squad to internationals, I understand that is important for them but selfishly we want them in the building, we want to work with them.
“Getting them back was a real positive, embedding the new players was a success tonight as well as the talent in our pathway really came out tonight as well so in terms of in house and what we want to do I felt it was a successful evening for us.”
