The Gers returned from the final international break of the year in style with a commanding 24-1 win over SWF Championship Westdyke as they began the defence of their trophy they won for the first time in the club’s history last season.
Speaking to RangersTV after the away win, she said: “I thought we were professional, got the job done.
“Obviously we scored a lot of goals, disappointed with the one that we conceded, but yes job done really for us.
“We have spoken about habits before and at half time.
“It is about us maintaining our standards and making sure we are doing what we want to see from a staff perspective and I thought we did that on the most part.
“A little bit sloppy in certain moments but overall I think we were quite impressive particularly in and around the goal.”
The assistant coach spoke of a few special moments on the day which included a competitive Rangers debut for youngster Lily Boyce and first minutes of the season for Sarah Ewens following injury.
She continued: “Lily has been great; she was obviously with us through pre-season.
“She is still in with the 17’s and it was just a good opportunity to bring her along and expose her to some senior minutes and I thought she did really well.
“Sarah coming back in is a big one for us and a big moment for her and obviously getting on the scoresheet is impressive as well.
“Obviously we want everybody available all of the time and that is not always the case in football.
“When we can achieve those moments when people come back in and do well and people are fit and healthy that is utopia for us.”
The Light Blues now quickly turn their attention back to league action as they take on Motherwell on Wednesday evening and Bradford says full focus now turns back to SWPL duties.
She added: “How do we prepare for Motherwell? Exactly the same as we always do.
“Get back in, analyse today, have a look at it.
“Look at the threats that Motherwell will pose and equally on the other hand look at how we can hurt them and again just being professional.
“Go about our business, make sure our habits are good and hopefully we can get that one ticked off.”
