Jay Hogarth Pleased With Strong Team Performance in Tough Fixture

JAY Hogarth has reflected on his side’s winning result against Bonnyrigg Rose following a strong performance from the B Team.

The young Ger spoke exclusively to RangersTV after the team collected three points in the Lowland League this afternoon.

The Light Blue expressed his thoughts on the Gers performance against a challenging outfit, and said: “It was a really good performance, I expected that coming into the game.

“Bonnyrigg are top of the table and going to be a tough challenge and that proved to be the case.

“It was pleasing to make some important saves; I’ve not played that much recently because I’ve been training with the first team but to come back in and make those saves is very pleasing for me.”

The Gers keeper continued by outlining his excitement for the younger players to make an appearance in the squad today and what they are anticipating for their fixture in the SPFL Trust Trophy against Ayr United.

He continued: “It’s very pleasing to have some younger players in the squad today, especially young Zak McKay to come in in the last five minutes of the game. He did a really good job and I think that we can take a lot of positives from this game.

“Ayr United should be a good challenge, they’re a top team in the Championship and I’m sure that it will be a really hard game.”
