The 19-year-old, who made his senior debut under Russell Martin at Southampton, is excited to be back working with the head coach as he looks to make an impact in Scotland.
In an exclusive first interview with RangersTV, Meghoma said: “I am very excited to be here, it is a fantastic club, and I know a lot about the rich history of Rangers.
“The main thing for me is getting results, Rangers is a big club, I am ready, I am hungry and I am excited to get going.
“I know Russell from my time at Southampton, and I think he is a fantastic coach, and I know how he likes to play, so I think it will be quite quick for me to integrate into the team.
“He gave me my debut in the Carabao Cup, and I felt comfortable straight away. The way he plays is a lot of possession-based football and that is something I really enjoy.
“It makes me feel more at ease as I know how he plays. He is a manager I am familiar with, so I can use the learnings from the past. I still remember what he taught me, so I understand how to play his style of football.”
Meghoma was just 17-years-old when he made his senior debut for the Saints, before moving to Brentford where he made his first appearance in the Premier League in December last year.
On the exposure to first-team football from a young age, he said: “It has helped my development loads. Being at Southampton and playing at a young age and then moving to Brentford has helped a lot.
“I have been in the first-team environment for a while now and it has been fantastic. I am gaining new experiences, and that is what I am taking here.”
Having played with Mikey Moore in the youth academy at Spurs, and against Djeidi Gassama while he was at Sheffield Wednesday, there are a few familiar faces in the Rangers dressing room for Meghoma.
With an introduction to the team earlier today, he is looking forward to getting on the training pitch, adding: “I am looking forward to playing with everyone. The training ground is really nice, the stadium is fantastic, and I love it already.
“The boys were really welcoming, we have a fantastic group, and I am ready to get started.”
