The young full-back netted his first-ever professional goal in midweek as the side were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Tannadice.
Danny Röhl’s side are unbeaten in their last nine league outings as they make the trip down the M77 to face Kilmarnock tomorrow evening, but Meghoma says he and his teammates are keen to turn recent draws into victories.
Speaking to the media ahead of the side’s visit to Rugby Park, he commented: “It was an amazing feeling for myself [to score in midweek]. It was an equaliser, so I just had to run back to the halfway line to get it going again, but it was an amazing feeling.
“The feeling was amazing when I saw it hit the back of the net. I was so happy.
“But it comes back to results as well, as from a team perspective we need to pick up more points and win the game.
“The expectations here are really high. I don’t blame the fans because of the history.
“We know as a team we need to improve, and that’s why we were chasing the game so hard, because we know we need to get more positive results.
“We need to stay focused, and we can’t be frustrated because we’re professionals. It’s our job to stay focused, and we need to take it game by game and go on a run ourselves to close that gap.”
In netting his first senior goal, the 19-year-old, on loan from Brentford, got off the mark at the perfect moment in a Rangers jersey.
Meghoma has operated on the left-hand side of both a four-man and three-man backline this season but insists he will give 100 per cent wherever he’s deployed.
He added: “Anything that can help the team is the most important thing. In my position, I think I can help with goals and assists.
“The gaffer focuses on what we need to do to win games, and for us it’s about taking on the information tactically and implementing it in the best way possible.
“He’s been amazing tactically. Everyone gets along with him, and we all understand what we need to do as a team.
He’s brought the positive energy back into the place, and everyone can feel it.
“How have I found my time at the club? It’s been amazing. Every experience that you have is another learning curve, and I’ve been learning new things since I got here. It’s been a fantastic experience.
“You mould quite well as a player. The experience that I have gotten here I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else, but for me, the experience alone is invaluable. It’s one of the best places to play football, especially at my age.”
