The Light Blues took a four-goal advantage into the break before eventually running out 5-3 winners at the Oriam to keep the fate of the league trophy in their own hands.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win in the capital, the head coach said: “That was our main objective at the start of the evening was to take three points and come away with a victory to take us into the last game and that was what we have managed to do.
“We have got to remember we have been put in a position now where the pressure is really on and we have managed to come up twice.
“We are in a position that we'd have prayed for a week ago and we are finally in it. It was a big three points for us to take us into this final game.
“Pleased with first half? Yes absolutely, we conceded really quickly after we scored which was a bit of a sucker-punch but I thought the response to that was very good after.
“It managed to kick us on a little bit and we were clinical.
“We made sure we utilised it; her quality was high, her energy was high and we managed to get a hefty lead at half time which was really important for us.”
After a Katie Wilkinson brace, as well as goals from Mia McAulay, Kirsty Howat and Rio Hardy the Gers were in a commanding position at the interval but did see their opponents cut into their advantage in the second 45 minutes, with the former Lioness wanting her team to learn from the errors they made moving forward.
She continued: “It was crucial for us because you saw the second half how it got away from us slightly after a mistake.
“The first half was crucial; it was a good job that we had that first half and we put ourselves in a position to do that.
“We were really good first half I thought, the players really stood up and showed what they are about tonight and I am very pleased for everybody involved that we could take it down to this final game.
“They are mistakes that we have got to look at. Just little pieces of details that we have got to do better.
“Risking the ball in certain areas where we don't need to. I don't need to tell the players they know that themselves.
“They are moments that we have got to really tighten up on and take out because there is one game left and we can't be affording to make mistakes like that in that last game, which we know we won't.
“We will be good, but we played into the score line a little bit where we thought we could take a few more risks and do things slightly different but we know we can't.
“We have got to make sure that we are eradicating those mistakes out of our game, I have said that for a while now.
“We have got to start showing it but I am really pleased on the other side to score five excellent goals with some really good play, really good assists and it puts us in a really good position.”
It now promises to be a thrilling finale to the end of the league season. The Gers now know three points on Sunday at Ibrox will be enough to secure the title given their superior goal difference to Sunday’s opponents and Potter is hopeful of a big turnout as possible in the iconic stadium.
She added: “We get great support home and away, no matter where we g,o but I would really love to see the fans turn up
to this one.
“When we get our fans turning up and really get behind the players and show that backing it really shows. We have got great support and a great fanbase and I just want to see everyone turn up for a massive game on Sunday now.”
You can still get your hands on a ticket and come try cheer on the Gers to try secure the title here, kicking off a 12 noon at Ibrox this Sunday.
