A Kirsty Howat goal was the difference in Hamilton, with the result putting the Light Blues right back in the hunt to claim the SWPL title this season with two league matches remaining.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the afternoon, she said: “It was a big performance from us.
“I think there was a little bit of pressure on us coming into this game, especially knowing the results that happened beforehand.
“We can't shy away from that fact we all knew what had happened in the other game. It put a bit of pressure on us but I thought we used that really well.
“I thought the girls stood up to that test and really performed, really worked, showed their quality and they deserved the three points very much so I am proud of every single one of them.
“We have got to use that for another two games now, move onto the next one and full focus on Hearts on Wednesday.
“I said to the players we have been caught out previously when it is just 1-0 and we allow Celtic a moment because they are a good team.
“They are always going to have moments in a game and I thought Jenna pulled off an excellent save but so did their keeper.
“The one from Ini I thought that was a dead certain goal, and the one-on-one at the end.
“I thought we were good for another few goals, I thought we should have had another few goals, which probably would have killed the game off, but it wasn't to be so we had to then dig in and manage the game appropriately and we really did that.
“That is the most pleasing part of that we didn't get caught out as we probably would have done previously.”
The former Lioness was full of praise for the match winner who scored her third derby goal of the season, whilst highlighting the clean sheet which helped her team get over the line.
She continued: “It was huge from Kirsty and she has done that time and time again for us.
“We are creating opportunities and she is taking them. I thought she could have had a hat-trick. I know she will look back at this and think she could have scored a few more but that’s great and what I want to see.
“It is huge and it will be a massive confidence boost for her.
“It was a squad performance. We have done a lot of work to make sure we got things right out of possession.
“We had a few players who play regularly missing but you wouldn’t have noticed and that is really pleasing.
“People stepped up and put in good performances and we deserved the win.”
It’s now a quick turnaround for the Gers as they go to the capital in midweek to take on Hearts, with the head coach hopeful the team can take momentum from their derby result heading into the penultimate outing of the league season.
She added: “Everything changes from fixture to fixture and we are in a much better place than we were yesterday.
“We have to do our business and we know we can’t afford to slip up again. It is not an option for us.
“We passed the first big test and we have to show that again on Wednesday.”
